Hops are amazing, not only do they provide antimicrobial protection to beer they are what allow us as brewers to create bitterness, from low to super high, in our beers.
But, where hops truly come to life is in the amazing diversity of flavours and aromas they offer us from subtle grassy, herbal notes to the huge punch of tropical fruit found in some of today's more modern varieties.
As a brewer I enjoy exploring different hop combinations and discovering new and exciting flavours and aromas. Explorer Pale Ale is brewed using the same malt base with the same level of bitterness in every batch, the only difference is the hops we use.
